We’re thrilled to share with you Sandy & Gavin’s memorably stunning wedding at Bayview Golf & Country Club in Thornhill. Sandy and Gavin met each other through their friend Wei, whose wedding I had the pleasure of photographing in 2013. We had a blast last year shooting Sandy & Gavin’s engagement session at the Distillery District in Toronto, so we knew we’d have an amazing time photographing their big day.
We started the day at Sandy’s sister’s Parisian themed condo for her getting ready photos. Sandy looked radiantly beautiful as her maid of honour, Yen, helped zipup her gorgeous wedding dress. Sandy’s bridesmaids planned some hilarious door games for Gavin and his groomsmen. One of them was to have the guys dress in funny costumes while dancing to Taylor Swift’s ‘shake it off’. After Gavin & Sandy’s sweet and heartwarming first look, we headed to Evergreen Brickworks in Toronto for the bridal party and bride and groom photos. Near the end of the shoot, we found a vibrant graffiti alley and used it as a backdrop for some cool, edgy bride and groom photos.
In front of their closest family and friends, Sandy and Gavin exchanged vows at the pristine Bayview Golf & Country Club, sealing their vows with a kiss. The ivory and soft pink florals used to decorate the ceremony space were absolutely gorgeous, but the reception decor was equally as stunning. The elegant head table was decorated with gorgeous florals and candles. The beautiful floral centrepieces and exquisite table settings gave the room a luxurious and classy ambience. Sandy & Gavin’s fun-filled reception was filled with tons of energy and laughter, making it the perfect ending for their special day.
